Power BI Sales Dashboards

A governed sales reporting layer in Power BI — one trusted view of pipeline, revenue and win-rate that the whole commercial team works from.

The challenge

Sales numbers lived in a sprawl of exported spreadsheets, each rep keeping their own version. Two people could quote different pipeline figures in the same meeting, and every month-end review started with an argument about whose number was right instead of what to do next.

The process

End to end — how data moves from source to decision.

Our approach

How we structured the work.

01
Mapped every metric the team argued about — pipeline, coverage, win-rate, forecast — to a single agreed definition before writing a line of DAX.
02
Built a clean star schema over CRM and ERP extracts with conformed date and product dimensions, so the same slice means the same thing everywhere.
03
Authored the metric layer once in DAX and exposed it through row-level security, so each manager sees their team and only their team.
04
Shipped a small set of focused dashboards — exec summary, pipeline health, rep scorecard — rather than one overloaded page nobody reads.

What the reporting looks like

An illustrative view of the dashboards this engagement produces. All figures are sample data for illustration only — not client results.

Outcome

What changed
Month-end reviews now open on the same screen for everyone. Pipeline and win-rate are defined once and secured by role, so the conversation is about the deals — not about whose spreadsheet is correct.
